ANT 111 Cultural Anthropology -
The course introduces the concepts of cultural adaptation in small-scale and large-scale societies. It focuses on the integration of fundamental cultural institutions including economics, political organizations, family, and religion. Students learn how to explain why specific cultural differences and similarities occur and persist in the United States and other countries. Students develop an understanding of culture contact, culture change, and the role of anthropology in the modern world. Credits: 3
